BIG Changes

Hello everyone,
My daughter and I are currently in the process of moving from Wisconsin to South Carolina.  Once we are in our house and a little more settled, you know at least some boxes unpacked, I will be back to posting and designing again.  Until then thanks for stopping by and happy crafting.
Big Inky Hugs,
Mel

Corrine's Girlie Swap

Hi everyone!  Betty's Fan group has done it again.  We had another wonderful swap and a hop to show off all our goodies!  You should have come here from Jackie's Blog if not be sure to check it out.  Our hop begins at Betty's Blog also a great place to stay informed when it comes to upcoming releases and GREAT sales ;) so if you started here then you may want to start at the beginning so you don't miss anything.
That said my swap sister was Sam Slater over in the UK and she sent me lots of great new things to play with! First is this beautiful card with a sparkly tub, feathers and so much more!

Next is the Birdcage Sam and her daughter made me.  This will be on the wall by my vanity after I get finished with this post.  There are also a bunch of super cute little glass bottles to the right of the birdcage in front of the stickers.  To the left of the birdcage is some dragonfly stickers that I already have plans for and 3 jars of Microfine Glitter!!

There is ribbon, charms and STAMPS!!! The Indigo Blu Stamp in the middle was on my wish list!!!

These charms are FAB-U-LOUS!!!! My creative mind is wrapping all around them with more ideas every minute.

So, yeah, it was like Christmas and made my whole month!  I am one happy crafty girl right now!
Thank you SO MUCH Sam!!!!

From here you are off to Darcy's Blog to see more goodies from the UK because her swap sister was over the pond too!  Enjoy and Thanks for stopping by.

Ink Jet Shrink Plastic!

I have found a new LOVE! Ink Jet Shrink Plastic by Darcie's LLC.  This stuff is SO fun to play with.  You can print out your Digis, stamp your regular stamps or even just cut out die cuts.  There is no need to mess with your oven because you shrink it with your EMBOSSING GUN!  Here's a couple pics of a project I did with this stuff.

You want to use light colors because it will get darker as the paper shrinks.  I cut these out with Spellbinders once colored.  The image started out at 3 1/2 inches long.  Then once it shrunk it was just over 1 1/4 inches long.  The piece is thicker and makes for a great key chain ornament or embellishment.

The Digi I used for this project is Rachel by Simply Betty Stamps.  I am working on taking better pictures.  Once the snow has melted I can go back to taking them outside in the natural light.  Those turn out much better.  Thanks for stopping by.
BIG HUGS, Mel

Wine Box Swap SBS

We had another GREAT swap over at the Simply Betty Stamps Fan Group! These pictures just don't do justice to the wonderful gifts I received in this swap.  Celina Matthews was my partner and she spoiled me.  First is the Wine Box itself.  Simply Gorgeous!!

Here is a close up of the image we were given to play with .  Isn't she beautiful?  Celina did a superb job with this.

Look at all this great stuff!  It was like Christmas!  She knew that I liked Sparkles and glitter.  She also included a TON of really good CHOCOLATE!!!

Here are a couple close ups of all the great goodies she was able to fit in this box.

Check it out!! Lindy's Sprays!!!  I will be using these to decorate some items for another upcoming swap.  There is a pile of steampunk accessories and so much more!!!! I can't thank her enough!
That said here is the entire hop list and I hope you have all enjoyed the wonderful crafts on here.   Please take a moment to see the blogs and all the fun we have with this group.

SURPRISE!!! It's a Birthday Blog Hop!

Happy Birthday Corinne & Irene!

Betty supplied us with images and with the help of Tanja organized this WONDERFUL surprise for a WONDERFUL set of twins.  One of which happens to be born on the same day as my daughter, December 29th.  Irene gets her own day December 30. guess it pays to be a slow poke :)  We over at the Simply Betty Fan Group LOVE these ladies.   They are the best at organizing swaps and challenges, commenting on our posts and Corinne makes sure we all make our deadlines.  We have often teased her about "Cracking the Whip".  I begged her to please take a pick with a flower pot on her head like the "DIVO" hats but her response was simple... " NO hat will go in this head".  So, it is on her page below.  My husband was nice enough to make the Scrap page holders shown.  They hold 6X6 pages that you can flip, a scrapbook picture frame if you will.

I hope they like these.  Our group is so much FUN ~ we couldn't do it all with out half of the stuff these ladies do for us & Betty.  Thanks Ladies <3 p="" ya="">
Now, you should have arrived here from Robin's Blog and you are off to Sharons's Blog
Happy Hopping Everyone!

Simply Betty Stamps December Fan Challenge

This is one of my favorite images from Simply Betty Stamps.  She is fun to color and can be used for any kind of card.  Part of this challenge was to use snowflakes on our card. I used a Darice embossing folder then highlighted the raised image with a Sukura Stardust pen to add sparkle.  The Sukura pens were also used on the image after I colored it with Copics to add sparkle through out.  Spellbinders Label 30 was used to cut her out and then folded behind the card to offset the main focus.  I hope you like her.
Happy Coloring and Crafting,
Mel

Simply Betty Stamps ~ November Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  This month we had our choice of a Pilgrim Corinne or an Indian Betty.  The Indian was my choice, made in a New York minute, given my Cherokee Heritage.  She is adorable and so fun to color.  Next month we have another head to head challenge with The Stamping Chef!  Both images are wonderful!!! I already have the one from The Stamping Chef, plan on getting the Betty one this weekend.  Now ~ here's my card with the cute little Indian girl.
Be sure to check out Betty's Blog for all the cards using this image and the Pilgrim image too.  These ladies are super talented!!!
Big hugs <3 p="">Mel
